WDFA Stag Beer action continues this weekend

KEEN and exciting football is anticipated this weekend at the Den Amstel Community Centre ground where clubs will be looking to enhance their present points standing in the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA)-organised, Ansa McAl Stag Beer-sponsored senior tournament. Tomorrow, the action will commence at 14:00hrs with Bagotville matching skills with Wales, and Seawall facing Pouderoyen Young Achievers in an all-village battle, in the second encounter.
Bagotville, who are currently at the bottom of the points standing after two matches, will be looking to create an upset to grab full points, while Wales, who have played the same number of matches but have managed to pull off a draw in their first match against Beavers, will also be on the hunt for points.
In the feature game Seawall, who are now fourth on the points table, will look to snatch full points and move upwards, even as Young Achievers who are just one place below, will be seeking to stage another upset victory as they did against Den Amstel in their last match.
On Sunday, Stewartville who managed to snatch a victory over Beavers will return to take on and avoid the talons of Eagles at the Den Amstel ground, as both teams hunt points. Eagles, who surprisingly are in third place, will look to get full points against their opponents.
