Work moving apace on synthetic track

WORK is moving apace on the synthetic athletic track being constructed at Leonora on the West Coast of Demerara.
According to the Head of the Presidential Secretariat (HPS) and Secretary to the Cabinet, Dr Roger Luncheon, the first phase has been completed and Cabinet is moving towards putting out tenders for a significant stage of the project.
He noted that the pattern of operations used in the completion of the Guyana National Stadium will be replicated for the completion of the synthetic athletic track.
When completed, the $250M facility will become the first of its kind in Guyana and will contribute significantly to boosting the capacity to further advance and develop the potential in the field of athletics.
