Extreme Entertainment staging Youth Expo 2012

EXTREME Entertainment, headed by Nigel Ralph, announced the staging of Youth Expo 2012 last Thursday at Upscale Restaurant in Georgetown. Mr. Ralph said he and his team promise to amaze Guyana with what is in store for the event to be staged from June 29 to July 1 at the National Insurance Scheme Ground on Carifesta Avenue, also in the city.
His organisation has as its mandate the provision of wholesome and edifying entertainment for youths by reviving a previously staged performance.
The activity seeks to showcase and exhibit young people and their talents to reputable organisations and individuals who are involved in youth development.
In an interview with the Guyana Chronicle, Ralph recalled that the show was first staged in 2002 at the National Cultural Centre and was repeated annually in the month of March.
But, due to financial issues, among other things, it was discontinued for a few years.
Extreme Entertainment promises to make a successful comeback of youth exposition, with various additions.
Ralph said, because it is titled Youth Expo, does not mean that adults are not welcome to show what they have, as well. But they will not be obscuring the main characters.
The occasion will showcase the young people of Guyana as they seek to further enhance themselves and whatever talent they may possess in dancing, singing, fashion displays, sports, arts and craft.
Ralph stated all youngsters are welcome to participate and emphasised that the main aim is to get a lot of young people off the street and into the world of responsibility and good.
Non-governmental and governmental organisations and private entities have also volunteered to take part and, so far, the expo has received favourable responses from sponsors.
Extreme Entertainment invites the helping hands of others who wish to contribute and make it even more successful.
