THE eleven-member karate team from the Japan Karate Association/World Federation Guyana (National Park Dojo) departed Georgetown for Panama on Wednesday morning to attend the annual JKA/WF America 2012 Karate Camp and Goodwill Tournament to be held in Panama City, from June 7 to 11. The team is comprised of seven adults, two children and two teenagers who are accompanied by a small group of supporters inclusive of parents and chaperones.
The annual event will see Guyana’s participation for the fourth consecutive year. The Training clinic conducted by guest Masters Shojiro Koyama and Shejuru Takashina commenced yesterday and will last until tomorrow with a wrap-up tournament set for the following day.
