A MECHANIC appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday, charged with fraudulent conversion and threatening behaviour. The indictable charge said Colin Blackett, of Lot 568 Toucan Drive, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, is alleged to have, between June 1 and December 31, 2011, being the bailee of motor car PHH 942, equipped with one tape deck valued $35,000 and one amplifier priced at $55,000, fraudulently converted the property of Nicosia Holland to his own use and benefit.
