Office assistant charged with $500,000 theft from Minister Rohee

AN office assistant at the Ministry of Home Affairs appeared in court yesterday, charged with stealing $500,000 from Minister Clement Rohee. Simeon Kissoon, 20, of Lot 442 Grove Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, faced the indictable charge before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton.
Particulars of the offence said, between May 17 and 21, he stole the money belonging to the Minister.
