POLICE at Enmore are grappling with another case of robbery committed against a Nootenzuil youth who had ventured into the village over the weekend. According to the young man, who asked that his name be withheld, he was relieved of $7,000 and some valuables by a two-man gang that cornered him on the railway embankment between Foulis and Enmore, on the East Coast of Demerara.
The youth claimed that at approximately 19:00hrs last Saturday, he was confronted by a man with a motor scooter and another youth on a bicycle who proceeded to broadside him with a cutlass and demanded his belongings.
He added that, out of fear, he handed over everything he had to the men who then fled the scene.
A report has been made, and the police are investigating.
