Victim still hospitalised, accused stabber remanded

JEROME Piggott (no address given) was remanded to prison, by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday, on an attempted murder charge. He is charged, indictably, with having, on April 27, unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm upon Brian Henry with intent to kill him.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, successfully objected to bail and informed the court that the victim is still hospitalised.
The prosecutor said the investigating rank reported that the accused and virtual complainant work at the same place and they were involved in an argument, during which the prisoner stabbed the hospital patient several times.
Piggott has to be back in court on May 9.
