TUTORIAL Academy Secondary School (TASS) currently lead the Berbice division of this year’s Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) tournament, as they command the points standing with seven points from their three matches to date. The tournament which got started last Wednesday saw TASS defeat Berbice Educational Institute (BEI) 53-29 with Jamaal Felix scoring 20 points for the winners and Shemroy McKenzie 10 for BEI, while Central Corentyne Kings defeated Corentyne Comprehensive 24-6 and Lower Corentyne were smashed 45-14 by Port Mourant Training Centre.
New Amsterdam Multilateral School Titans brushed aside Central Corentyne Kings 43-18 thanks to Ellon Williams and Hubern Evans who scored 12 and 10 points respectively, while Tutorial Academy got the better of Port Mourant 26-24, with Adriel Moore scoring 10 points for the winners.
With Tito Emanuel chalking up 19 points, BEI smoked Corentyne Comprehensive 45-6 before New Amsterdam Multilateral School defeated Tutorial Academy 33-29.
The points standing after last week matches reads:  Tutorial (7), NAMS Titans (6), PMTC, CCS Kings, BEI and Lower Corentyne 4 points each, Corentyne Comprehensive (2 points) and JC Chandisingh one point.
