FITZROY Damon (no address given), who pleaded guilty to possession of five grammes cannabis (marijuana) yesterday, was fined $3,000 and ordered to do two weeks community service. Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, before whom he admitted having the narcotic on April 19, instructed that, because of his disability, he would not do the service but go to the Ministry of Human Services and get counselling.
The defendant told the Court he would, usually, eat the cannabis and make tea with it.
