POLICE are pursuing a murder investigation in the death of 31-year-old Jades Huri Dass, of Chelsea Park, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara, after a post mortem examination, yesterday, determined that he died of a gunshot wound to the head. The victim’s eldest brother, Dyal Dass, speaking to the Guyana Chronicle at the family home, said he received information that the Police have questioned a few persons in connection with the crime.
He said the four who were interrogated are from the Mahaica area but he is not familiar with any of them.
He is uncertain whether his sibling had any problems with his employers, who have, since the killing, paid the family one visit.
The deceased was discovered on the roadway near the truck he was driving, GMM 9952, with his head battered and there were injuries to other parts of his body.
Nothing was stolen from him and his corpse is expected to be cremated today.
