Mother appeals for donations to save son

MAYFIELD George, the mother of 11-year-old Darom Adams, of Lima Sands, Essequibo Coast, is appealing for financial assistance to help save his life. She said the lad, who recently wrote the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) examination is very sick and has to undergo a renal transplant surgery in June at Dr. Balwant Singh Hospital in Georgetown.
The woman, who has six children, said she cannot raise the sum of $3M to pay for the operation on her son who experiences serious difficulty in walking and breathing.
She said he was diagnosed with the ailment last year and doctors recommended the transplant.
She is praying that God would speak to kind, loving Guyanese to help her meet the cost for the surgery and said donations can be sent to the Demerara Bank at Cotton Field, also on Essequibo Coast.
Her son would like to grow up and live a normal life not die at 11, she said.
