Drivers who refused to admit operating under the influence cautioned, fined, & have their licences endorsed

RAKESH Persaud and Bindon Damon appeared before Sparendaam Magistrate, Alex Moore yesterday, charged separately for driving under the influence of alcohol. The men are alleged to have driven their vehicles on the Beterverwagting Public Road, East Coast Demerara while under the influence of alcohol on April 16, thereby being unable to fully control their vehicles.
Although they both pleaded guilty to the charges, the men were cautioned and fined $7,500 each. The particulars of their offences were also endorsed upon their driver’s licences.
