OSAFFA Johnson, 18, of Lot 708 East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, facing two charges of robbery under arms, was granted $40,000 bail by Magistrate Allan Wilson yesterday. The defendant pleaded not guilty to both offences, particulars of which said, on April 9, in Waterloo Street, also in the city, being armed with a knife, he robbed Ormey Roberts of items valued a total of $29,500 and Marcella Roberts of $20,000 and other things, worth $165,500 in all.
Police Sergeant Gordon Mansfield, prosecuting, had no objection to bail but, at his request, Johnson must report to Brickdam Police Station every Monday, until May 3.
