Corentyne lad to represent Guyana at Quranic Competition in Kuwait

EIGHTEEN-year-old Muzzammil Ramzan Khan, of Number 75 Village, Corriverton, Berbice, is headed for Kuwait where he will represent Guyana at the Third International Quranic Competition for memorisation, recitation and interpretation of the Holy Quran. The event, which is being held from April 11 to 18, sees participants memorise, recite, and interpret the Holy Quran, and according to a release from the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG), Muzzammil is quite adept at this.
Its hosts are The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.
