-fun begins this Easter weekend
AFTER thirteen years in business, moving from strength to strength, Buddy’s International Complex — Guyana’s premier night club — has unveiled a fantastic three-month entertainment plan with a magnetic pull, kicking off over the Easter-weekend. There’s much in store for patrons, and the Easter season promises to be action packed, brimming with entertainment and lots of giveaways — free cell phones on Saturday night, ladies-free admission on Easter Sunday night, and free drinks on Easter Monday.
An added feature will be the Easter Egg hunt, according to officials of the club at a press briefing held at Buddy’s on Thursday.
The Easter Weekend Jam lime will offer a flood of Soca, Dance Hall and Chutney music the way you’ve never experienced it before. The action gets under way on Saturday, and continues on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday nights. It’s something you cannot afford to miss!
Giving a tantalizing insight into the scintillating vibes over the next three months, Managing Director Ryan Shivraj asserted: “Thirteen years in business and Buddy’s wants to change the way entertainment is being offered in Guyana. We’re going to transform this place into a total entertainment spot. We’re going to call Buddy’s your one-stop entertainment spot!”
Shivraj promised that every three months Buddy’s will be changing the form of theatre, bringing for the first time fortnightly live performances and live artistes.
Introducing a rare twist to the entertainment industry, while resolutely promoting patriotism and insisting that Guyana’s premier entertainers and musicians must be ‘second to none’, Buddy’s will establish a flavoured niche which offers in-house entertainment by the best local entertainers at affordable cost.
Artistes slated to appear over the new few weeks include: Guyana’s 2012 Road March King Adrian Dutchin, ‘Guyana Babu’ Terry Gajraj, and some of the most popular bands.
“Every fortnight for the month of April, we’ll be having live performances from live artistes, and we assure you you’ll get all the big deals in the next three months, in the field of Soca, Dance Hall and Chutney,” Shivraj said. The intention, he said, is to promote local artistes and musicians while aiming to ensure Guyanese get the best in the line of entertainment and their money’s worth.
People’s Night
Marketing Manager, Troy Edmonson and Moderator Reaz gave a brief but colourful outline of events at the club for the next three months, highlighting Friday April 13, which has been touted as ‘People’s Night’. On that night, Guyana’s 2012 Road March King Adrian Dutchin and popular bands will feature prominently. Carib Beer and ANSA Mc AL will be there, and there will be ‘lots and lots’ of Carib giveaways, Reaz assured. There will also be two ‘back to back’ ordeals.
Saturday, April 14
There will be live performances by popular entertainer Terry Gajraj, a Guyanese artiste who has represented this country across the world. Additionally, there will be a special from El Dorado, which includes door prizes and other fantastic giveaways. There will also be the opportunity to see more of DJ Private Ryan — very popular across the Caribbean and across the entertainment industry, and there will be others of his calibre.
For your pleasure, comfort and relaxation, both outside and inside of Buddy’s will be transformed into a more stage-oriented atmosphere to present you the distinct opportunity of basking in the delectable ambience of the premises. There will be adequate parking, and accommodation and security for both patrons and vehicles are assured.
Meanwhile, Reaz, who says that management has been consistently working towards improving the environment and raising the standard of entertainment at Buddy’s, assured that the aim is to provide a ‘One Stop’ place for your convenience: Top performing local artistes; music and bar; restaurant, the best entertainers and musicians, while seeking to ensure that Guyanese get ‘value for money’ and are not disgruntled at the end of the day.
