PYARG conducts another unit leaders training programme

THE President’s Youth Award: Republic of Guyana (PYARG) conducted its 14th unit leaders training programme, recently, at Camp Madewini, along the Soesdyke/Linden Highway. PYARG Field Assistant Officer in Region 2 (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Herald Alves said three unit leaders from that region attended the three-day weekend course.
He said the aim of it was to give the participants an opportunity to learn more about the award scheme and interact with each other from across the country.
Alves said some of the topics discussed included youth and management, first aid, networking and reporting.
He said unit leaders were also involved in talent shows during the evenings, when they displayed their talents.
At the end of the exercise, those who took part said they have learnt from it and are now more equipped to take part in other PYARG field activities.
Alves encouraged more youths in Region 2 and other Administrative Regions to become members the PYARG and explore Guyana.
