NATIONAL cycling coach Hassan Mohamed MS has organised a Powerade 50-Mile Cycle Road Race which is sponsored by Banks DIH Ltd, for this coming Sunday. The race will commence at Wales Police Station at 09:00hrs and will proceed to Bushy Park on the East Bank of Essequibo before returning to the Demerara Harbour Bridge for the finish.
The Veteran, Upright and Female categories will turn back at Uitvlugt Community Centre.
The first six senior finishers; top three juniors, veterans and upright; first two female cyclist and first over-60 years will all receive prizes. There are eight prime prizes to be won during the course of the race.
The race is sponsored by POWERADE of sole distributors Banks DIH, Thirst Park.
At the conclusion of the event, Banks DIH’s Outdoor Events Manager Mortimer Stuart will distribute the prizes to the top winners.
