EWART George alias ‘Bussy’, 20, of Lot 712 ‘C’ Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday, charged on two counts of robbery under arms. Particulars of the indictable offences said, on March 25, at Garden of Eden, East Bank Demerara, being armed with a gun and together with others, he robbed Patty Narine of a number of items valued a total $1.3M and Sam Narine of things worth $4M.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, had no objection to bail and informed the court that the accused is assisting to locate the other suspects.
George was granted bail in the sum of $350,000 and he has to be back in court on May 16.
