A FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD student from a riverine community in Region 2 (Pomeroon/Supenaam) is pregnant. The child, who lives in Supenaam Creek and attends a secondary school in the south of Essequibo Coast, is said to have been impregnated by a 22-year-old man and police are investigating the matter.
The man is hospitalised presently but is expected to be charged and placed before the court as soon as he is discharged from hospital.
