THE Georgetown Number One District of Seventh Day Adventists yesterday declared open a crusade, under the theme “The Truth Revealed”, with Evangelist Trevor Tobin and other ministers delivering messages to deal with ypung people and today’s realities. The Crusade, which will be conducted from April 1 – 30, is being held under the big tent, Ministry of Health’s playground on Brickdam, Georgetown, and kicked off with a ceremonial march past by Pathfinder contingents drawn from the Central SDA Church, and Carmel and Ephesus SDA Churches. Sessions start at 19:00hrs each night.
The parade moved off from the Square of the Revolution, accompanied by military drums. The smartly attired parade wended its way through the streets of Wortmanville, before repairing to the Square of the Revolution, opposite the crusade tent. The salute was taken by Crusade Manager, Pastor Hubert Jack.
Topics are tailored predominantly to address the myriad needs and issues of concern to young people, Pastor Jack said, noting that there are challenges on every hand for the nation’s youth who are faced with situations where they have to make choices. He said it is the intention that, coming out of the rusade, they will be better equipped and empowered to make the right choices.
