ROSE Hall resident, Jose Teixeira, has been charged with rape, and was ordered by Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo  to post $75,000 bail, pending his preliminary trial on April 30 at New Amsterdam Court. The 18-year-old resident of Lot 41 ‘B’ Martin Street, Rose Hall is alleged to have had penetrative sex with a 13-year-old female on July 5, 2011 at a hotel in New Amsterdam.
Prior to granting pre trial liberty, the Magistrate stipulated that one of the conditions for the grant is that the teen must not go within 300 yards of the virtual complainant.
