Judge overrules voir dire no-case submission
–accused begins defence tomorrow
JUSTICE Dawn Gregory rejected a no-case submission made by Defence Attorney Basil Williams for accused, Burt Lancaster, in the Kuru Kuru murder voir dire. The judge disagreed with Williams’ submissions and called on the accused, Lancaster, to mount a defence against the charge that he  murdered Deonarine Sukhdeo on April 19, 2006 in a kidnapping exercise at Kuru Kuru, on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway.
Prosecuting counsels in this case were Ms Konyo Sandiford and Ms Diana Kaulesar.
