Student stabbed to death

– allegedly by fellow student
ANTHONY Bowman, a 17-year-old student of 77 Robb Street, Bourda was fatally stabbed last night, minutes after leaving his evening classes in South Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
Classmates of the now dead teen explained that the act was (allegedly) committed by a fellow student (name given). It was reported that the assailant also attended the South Ruimveldt lessons and, at one point, also attended Trust College and sat in the same class with his victim.
Speaking with the media at the Georgetown Public Hospital last evening, father of the dead teenager, Geary Bowman,
explained that he was informed that his son’s killer had always displayed a grudge against his son for no apparent reason.
The Elder Bowmen said too, that his son who has never been fingered in any wrong doing and never had problems at school, at no point indicated that something was bothering him or that he had a problem with anyone. Mr. Bowman said he is still at a loss to figure out why his son’s former school mate would want to end his life.
Bowman explained to the media that, according to what he was told, his son’s assailant stood for several minutes outside the lessons and pounced on his son as he exited.
At the Hospital last night, the tears were many as teachers, students and some parents alike gathered to get a glimpse of the teen who many thought would have survived the attack. Apart from the father of the deceased, no one else wanted to speak with the media.
Students and teachers were heard commenting that the now dead teen was someone who never got into conflicts with teachers and always completed assignments.
Immediately after the stabbing, students who witnessed the attack quickly placed the younger Bowman into a car and rushed him to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
There, doctors checked for a pulse after Bowman was taken from the car and discovered that he was already dead.
Bowman, a second division cricketer and basketball player, leaves to mourn his parents, one sister and other relatives and friends.
It is understood that the assailant was on the run from police up to press time last night.
