Particulars of the offence said, on February 12, at Lodge Housing Scheme, in the city, too, they robbed Leon Daniels of $600,000 and a quantity of gold jewellery.
Police Sergeant Gordon Mansfield, prosecuting, successfully objected to bail for the accused after Detective Sergeant Trevor Reid related the circumstances under which the crime was, allegedly, committed.
Reid said, last Sunday, Police received a report of robbery at Uitvlugt, West Coast Demerara and that a suspect was in Lodge Housing Scheme, Georgetown.
He said the ranks were sent to the location but, instead of arresting the man, they robbed him of his booty.
Defence Counsel Patrice Henry submitted that the virtual complainant should have been charged for the robbery at Uitvlugt and challenged the prosecution to first prove the allegation against the trio.
The case was postponed to March 12.
