Wounding defendant granted $70,000 bail
DERRICK Sattan, a 43-year-old truck driver of Lusignan, appeared before Magistrate Nayasha Williams-Hatmin at Vigilance Court, also on East Coast Demerara, charged with unlawful and malicious wounding yesterday. The defendant pleaded not guilty to having wounded Pooran Ramkissoon last January 21 and was granted $70,000 bail.
However, the virtual complainant is to be summoned to make an appearance when the case is called, again, on March 5.
