Former footballer supports Thomas United 52nd anniversary tournament

… Pele swamp Netrockers FC 8-1 on opening night
FORMER footballer and businessman Ray Imhoff on Monday presented an undisclosed sum of money to former national U-20 midfielder and French Guiana-based player Ovis Fraser at his McDoom Shell Service Station.
As a former Lodge Rovers player, Imhoff says he has always contributed to football and felt honoured to be associated with Thomas United Football Club, the second oldest football club in Guyana, in celebrating their 52nd Anniversary,
Imhoff stated that he is excited to know that former players of the club have been returning from whereever they are to celebrate this milestone and expressed best wishes to the president and executives of Thoams United  Club.
Meanwhile, the anniversary tournament kicked off last Sunday evening with a no-show from Uitvlugt Football Club forcing a one-game event to be played with Pele swamping Netrockers FC 8-1.
National forward Gregory Richardson and Stellon David netted doubles while Marvin Joseph, Solomon Austin, Travis Grant and Calvin Shepherd also contributed. A defence error in the early stages of the game accounted for the Netrockers’ score line.
