Court told…

Owner of $115,000 chain reneging from larceny prosecution
BRIAN Greenidge, 19, of Lot 9 South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday, charged with  larceny from the person.
The indictable charge accused him of having, on February 10, stolen one gold chain, valued $115,000, from Karen Morris.
But Police Sergeant Gordon Mansfield, prosecuting, informed the court that the virtual complainant gave a statement that she does not want to testify in the case.
However, the prosecutor asked for an adjournment to another date, so he can get advice on how to proceed.
The accused was put on $20,000 bail until March 9.
