Registration period extended to February 20
FOLLOWING overwhelming responses that have been flowing into GT&T as well as to executive members of the Guyana Softball League (GSL), a collective decision has been taken to extend the registration period for this year’s competition. Teams that have been in preparation with their eyes focused on cashing in on the more than $30M in prizes and incentives at stake will have some more time to fine-tune and strategise with the date now being extended from February 11 to February 20,2012.
Registration forms are only available in the colourful GT&T Magazine that are available at the company’s business offices and members of the GSL; each at a cost of just $1 000.
Male and female teams from across Guyana are eagerly awaiting the chance to get their game going in what is anticipated to be a bigger and more competitive tournament which is expected to attract a record amount of teams.
Defending male champions, Wolf Warriors have already expressed confidence of going all the way but will have their work cut out as hundreds of other teams are also eyeing the top prize.
New female champions will be crowned this time around since last year’s champions, Berbice All Stars no longer exist.
The GT&T 10/10 competition has become a household event in Guyana, etching its name in the sporting calendar as the major competition in terms of teams registering to compete.
CEO of GT&T Yog Mahadeo at the launching stated that he felt proud but humble by the massive response the tournament received over the past two years.
