De Bluetoother like everybody else looking eagerly at de official opening of Parliament this afternoon. Plenty done buy new dress and new suit and even new hair style knowing that plenty cameras gon be watching. Everybody gon want to look good. Some who don’t normally wear “high heels” might have a hard time walking. But knowing good when cameras pun yuh, de walk gon have to look “painless”. Yuh ever go to a funeral and see people crying at one tone of voice but when de camera “reach” dem, de tone get high? Same story with de shoes.
The usual pomp and ceremony is expected to be in place fuh de opening. De Bluetoother hear that hOpposition planning fuh be pompous. Somebody “let de cat out de bag” and seh that de hOpposition planning fuh use de one seat extra that dem gat, fuh tek Chairmanship of all de Parliamentary committees! Knowing de hOpposition, that is not beyond dem. Remember when de Coconut Tree Party was in Office how dem tek everything, even a man fancy long car? Allegations was going around that dem even tek a man cinema!
With that kind o’ background, Guyanese ain’t gon be surprise at dem teking all de Chairs. Yet this is de same hOpposition that always accusing de guvment of not including others. When de guvment had more than one seat extra, de PNC was Chairing committees including de powerful one that deal with Public Accounts! In other words, dem had oversight of guvment spending even when de guvment had a big majority! De late Winston was de Chairman. Isn’t that inclusiveness? De guvment ain’t had nothing fuh hide. Dem didn’t had to mek de PNC de Chair of that important committee.
That show how committed de guvment is to including others. But not de Coconut Tree posse and dem “offsprings” in de All Fuh Crap party. Before de election, both of de Congress Place parties seh dem is change and dem gon mek sure that dem include everybody.
Well, everybody now know how much lies that was. Dem including only themselves! This is another example showing how yuh can’t trust de Coconut Tree people. Fuh twenty-eight years dem bruk up de country. Now, dem ain’t win, but carrying on like if dem is de boss. E-magine what dem would do if dem is de guvment!
