Star Party Rentals supports NAMILCO Football Festival

STAR Party Rentals of 37 Craig Street, Campbellville, climbed on board the NAMILCO Football Festival, as they cemented a partnership with the host club Fruta Conquerors last Thursday, prior to the commencement of the tournament next Sunday at the Tucville ground. The entity, headed by former Guyana and USA cricketer Lennox Cush, has agreed to provide all the security lights and chairs for the duration of the competition which will run until March 4 and will see all matches played at the Tucville ground.
Cush, who is known for his constant support to the local sports fraternity, disclosed the decision to assist the host Club was an easy one for him, adding that it was prompted by the fact that he is involved in sports and is mindful of the importance sponsorship plays in supporting the development of sports and more directly the all-round growth of athletes.
He said: “Because of what sports has done for me, I just could not turn my back on the tournament which also serves to provide constructive engagement and recreation for the youths as well as act as a catalyst for many of them to escape the fangs of poverty through the acquisition of on-field and general life skills to make it to the next level.”
The CEO also added that he realises the importance the tournament has served especially to the youths who get a chance to showcase their skills for selection to higher levels of football on the local and later international scene.
Star Party Rentals’ Colwin Cummings handed over a letter of commitment to the club’s captain Eon Alleyne, in the presence of Dennis Edwards, Tavis Hackett and president of Fruta Conquerors Marlan Cole, who was instrumental in securing the sponsorship.
