ST JOHN’S, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board has announced that Guyana’s third- and fourth-round matches in the Regional 4-Day Tournament will be held in St Kitts and Antigua respectively. In the third round Guyana will take on Combined Campuses and Colleges at Warner Park in St Kitts, while their fourth round encounter, which will be a day/night affair against Jamaica, will now be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua.
Guyana’s first-round match against Leeward Islands commenced yesterday at Windsor Park in Dominica. Guyana will remain in Dominica for their second-round game against Windward Islands.
Guyana’s first four matches in the Regional 4-Day Tournament were scheduled for the Guyana National Stadium but the WICB moved these matches out of Guyana as a result of the situation in Guyana’s cricket.
The WICB also said it has taken a decision to move the third Digicel Test which was originally scheduled to be played at the Guyana National Stadium from April 23 to 27 to the Windsor Park in Dominica on the same dates.
West Indies face Australia in five Digicel One Day Internationals, two Digicel Twenty20 Internationals and three Digicel Tests in the Digicel Series 2012 which runs from March 16 to April 27.
