Kashif & Shanghai and Ram’s Pharmacy donate to Mashramani Challenge Cup
AS the countdown towards another nationwide football tournament gets closer, more organisations and businesses are coming forward, this time to show their support to the Mashramani Challenge Cup knockout football tournament which kicks off next Sunday.
Yesterday, the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation (MS) along with Ram’s Pharmacy made donations to the executives of the Thomas United Football Club (TUFC), the organisers of the tournament at K&S office on Irving Street.
Avinash Oudit, Sales Representative of Ram’s Pharmacy, made a monetary donation of an undisclosed sum to the president of Thomas United Football Club, Oliver Hinckson, while Kashif Muhammad, a director of the Kashif and Shanghai Organisation (MS) presented six footballs and the second place trophy to Linden ‘Ducks’ Bacchus, a member of TUFC.
Both Oudit and Muhammad shared similar sentiments, saying that they were honored to be a part of the tournament, while calling their contribution meaningful to the development of football and the second oldest football club in Guyana.
Noting that this tournament will see sixteen (16) clubs participate in what is expected to be a fiery encounter and rivalry, Oliver Hinckson said youth, skill and talent with technical and tactical concept will also be displayed.
