Need for Probe

RECENTLY, the Upper Corentyne Chamber of Commerce and Mr Bankay were on CTV Channel 19 (a local television station in Corriverton) to promote a housing area at No. 75 Springlands Garden, Corriverton. The programme was impressive, and I decided to visit the area with a view to purchasing a lot. However, what I discovered was very disappointing because of the following:
* The lots need massive developmental works (filling, etc)
* The drains on the northern and southern sides of the access way are too small to drain the waste water which would derive from the intended houses
* The access road to the area is far from being complete
* No pickets are available to determine the size of the lots
Mr Bankay said that the first and second certificates for transport for building were issued for the project, but as far as I know, these certificates cannot be issued before all the works have been completed.
