23-YEAR-OLD Harrinarine Rajpaul of Bush Lot, West Coast Berbice was killed at around 22:30 hrs on Old Year’s Day after a motor vehicle became uncontrollable and collided with him on the village public road. Police investigations revealed that Rajpaul was standing on the Bush Lot roadway when the motor car, travelling at a fast rate, became uncontrollable and slammed into the pedestrian.
The vehicle driver immediately fled the scene, but efforts are being made to locate him and the vehicle, as the investigations continue.
