FIFTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD Charles Albert, of Lot 566 Princetown, Corriverton, Corentyne, who, allegedly, beat his daughter to death at his home on December 12, was remanded to prison last Friday. He appeared before Magistrate Krishendat Persaud in Springlands Court, at Corentyne, Berbivce, too.
The unemployed accused was unrepresented by counsel and has to make another appearance on January 22.
Reports said the victim had gone to that house to assist her father, who lived with his 83-year-old aunt, Carolynn Ferdinand known as Doreen, with daily domestic chores.
But it was during an argument between them that she was fatally beaten with a piece of wood, it was reported.
