New television show for local airwaves

AFTER seven years of delivering what it described as  “a world-class print publication”, GEM magazine said it is now venturing into the world of television with a spinoff weekly entertainment programme called GEMLive!. GEMLive! is said to be a dynamic 30-minute show consisting of interviews, events, fashion, sports and much more. The show’s host and production manager is renowned television personality Donna Shortt-Gill.
Executive Producer of GEMLive!, Simeon Corbin said that television viewers should expect the same effort it takes to deliver a high quality magazine to be put into the television production. Corbin explained that GEMLive! will deliver an experience never before seen in local programming. For example, the interviews are short and witty and done on location. The cameras will focus more on the interviewee and less on the interviewer.
From a technical stand point, the distinctive set design, exciting graphics and theme music create an upbeat and memorable TV viewing experience for all who tune in to watch.
The aim of the highly experienced GEMLive! team is to take people’s minds off their day to day stresses and frustrations by providing them with solid local entertainment for the entire family.
The premiere showing of GEMLive! was slated for last evening (at 19:30 hrs) on NCN Channel 11. The programme will be shown every Monday at the same time and repeated on Saturdays at 16:00 hrs (4:00 p.m.) on the same channel.
