Dharam Shala gives Albouystown children Xmas treat

The children of Albouystown were on Thursday given a gala Christmas treat by the management of the Dharam Shala, and organized by executive members, Skella and Pamela Ramsaroop, daughters of Managing Director of the home, Mr. Harry S. Ramsaroop. Held at the Dharm Shala, the occasion which provided much fun for the children of the neighbourhood was complete with Santa Claus, saw some 200 children being treated to goodies, gift bags and toys.  In addition, some of the elderly residents of the home who were around, also got in on the treat, sharing in ‘the joy of Christmas’.
Beaming with satisfaction on being able to pull off another great humanitarian gesture once more, Ms. Pamela Ramsaroop who spoke with the Guyana Chronicle, said that they catered for 200 children and literally all the toys and bags were taken.  “Our parties are always well attended,” she said, happy at being able to bring joy to the hearts of the children once more.

Meanwhile, special guests at the function were United States Ambassador to Guyana, D. Brent Hardt and Mrs.Hardt, as well as Dr. Faith Harding.
