Security guard beat man defecating near fence 
A SECURITY guard appeared in court yesterday, charged with allegedly wounding a man whom he saw defecating near a fence. 
Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, Mervin Hamilton (no address given) pleaded not guilty to having unlawfully wounded Travis Carrington on December 9.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said the defendant observed the virtual complainant excreting near the fence of the compound where he was on guard duty and dealt him several lashes about the body.
Hamilton was put on $30,000 bail until December 15.
