CHRISTOPHER Gomes (no address given) was remanded to prison, by Magistrate Sueanna Lovell yesterday, after he pleaded not guilty to a break and enter and larceny charge. Particulars of the offence said, between December 6 and 7, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Nurene Kadir and stole things valued $245,000.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant had seen the defendant in her yard and, on checking, discovered the loss.
The prosecutor said two items were recovered in the defendant’s possession and he was arrested. He objected to bail, stating that Gomes has a similar case pending.
The case was put off to January 6, 2012.
