Pleasant, courteous service at Fellowship Post Office

PLEASE allow me space in your reputable columns to express my gut feeling about the different behavioural patterns of people. I choose this topic because if I did not do it now when we are approaching the season of peace and goodwill, I will fail in my endeavour to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s. Sir, I am a retiree now, but while I was in active employment, I travelled and lived almost throughout the entire coastland and even parts of the hinterland, and because I was obliged to make frequent contacts home during my absence in those days, as such I had to turn to the Post Office.
I must admit that while transacting business with the rural post offices, the attitudes and behaviours of post office workers differed from each other, with some leaving much to be desired. Since going into retirement, and because I am at home now, the only post office I visit is the Fellowship Post Office on the West Coast Demerara.
Sir, on my first encounter with the post master and his staff, I was awe stricken with the treatment meted out to me. The only conclusion I could have come to was that how it was so easy to be a human.
I later discussed my encounter with some of my friends who also told me nothing that differed from when I met the post master and his staff. Even the letter carrier was so courteous and pleasant. I wish the other post offices and government agencies could have people like those at the Fellowship Post Office.
