SANTOS Football Club signalled their intention early with a commanding seven-nil drubbing over Georgetown Football Club (GFC), when action in the Georgetown Football Association (GFA)-organised, Banks DIH-sponsored Under-13 League got under way at the sponsor’s Thirst Park playfield yesterday. Job Caesar, Travis Lykaio, Kelsey Benjamin and Steffon Reynolds found the back of the net for the victorious team in the first half of action, while Selah Rogers, Ryan Anthony and Travis Tyresse scored in the second half to secure the comfortable victory.
GFC had the chance to reduce the deficit when their opponents were leading two-nil, after being awarded a penalty, but the spot kick was missed, much to the delight of their opponents and the dismay of their teammates and supporters.
