A PASTOR, who is also a hunter, has shot dead a jaguar that was terrorising residents and farmers in the Adventure Sands area on the Essequibo Coast.
          The five-foot animal, which weighed about 200 pounds, recently attacked a pig farm where it killed and ate five.
          Residents of the Adventure Sands community became fearful because the cat often roamed the village, during the night, in search of poultry and other livestock.
           As a result, a group, led by Pastor Neeti (only name stated), took on the challenge to hunt it and they trapped it, around 04:30hrs yesterday morning, in a clump of bushes.
          The preacher then killed it with his shotgun and, subsequently, the carcass was put on display in the village.
