– investigations under way
FOLLOWING an incident in which a rank of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) was shot in his left leg whilst performing security duties at the Air Corps, Timehri, East Bank Demerara at around 23:40 hrs on Friday night, the GDF has said that its personnel are investigating the circumstances under which the incident occurred.
The unnamed soldier is currently hospitalized at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) in a stable condition.
