TRAVIS Perreira (no address given) appeared before the Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, on Thursday, charged with simple larceny. Particulars of the offence said, on October 26, the defendant stole one pedal cycle, valued $15,000, property of Junior Richmond.
Perreira pleaded not guilty and said the virtual complainant had accused several other persons of stealing the bicycle.
However, Richmond said the defendant is a known bicycle thief.
Perreira was granted $25,000 bail until November 24.
