NZ edge out Zimbabwe in thriller

DEBUTANT Doug Bracewell claimed a five-wicket haul as New Zealand snatched victory away from Zimbabwe in remarkable fashion in the one-off Test at Bulawayo.
Led by a brilliant century from their captain Brendan Taylor (117), Zimbabwe looked on course to record only their 10th Test win ever as they reached 265 for three in pursuit of 366.

However, they ended up falling agonisingly short after being bowled out for 331 just before the close on the final day as New Zealand claimed a 34-run win for their first away Test victory since 2008.
Bracewell and Daniel Vettori did most of the damage as they evenly shared six of the last seven Zimbabwe wickets to fall.
Seamer Bracewell finished with innings figures of five for 85, while Vettori picked up three for 71 to go with his five wickets from the first innings. (PA Sport)
