DIGICEL has announced that BlackBerry App World is now available, again, in Guyana.
The announcement noted that the application distribution service, which is provided by Research in Motion (RIM) – makers of BlackBerry – was unavailable in this country for some time but has been restored.
Digicel Head of Sales and Distribution, Ms. Nalini Vieira, said, “Our BlackBerry customers have been requesting access to this service for some time and we have been pursuing it with RIM. We are sure customers will welcome the return, given the number of mobile applications that are available again.”
She said BlackBerry users can download applications to suit their needs and interests from a number of categories, including business, education, entertainment, finance, shopping, news, weather, music and audio, and health and wellness.
BlackBerry users are encouraged to download the latest version of App World (3.0) by using the link www.blackberry.com/appworld, since some persons have encountered difficulties accessing App World with the older versions.
