GPOC reports Mabaruma Post Office now outstanding building
THE Mabaruma Post Office, in the North West District, is now an outstanding building in that community, after extensive renovations were done to it, the Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) has reported. It said the repair work that was done included dismantling the top and making the entire structure one ground flat with living accommodation. Plumbing and electrical work as well as painting the interior and exterior were also undertaken.
The GPOC expressed sincere thanks to the persons using the services at that office for their kind understanding and cooperation during the time that repairs were taking place.
It said plans are afoot for similar repairs to be done to other offices, including the one at Suddie on the Essequibo Coast.
GPOC also said it remains committed to its mandate to repair as many of its offices as soon as it is financially feasible, to ensure the comfort of its customers and staff members.
