A PARTNERSHIP for National Unity (APNU) officially announced yesterday that co-founder of the Working People’s Alliance (WPA), Dr.  Rupert Roopnarine is the coalition’s Prime Ministerial Candidate for the upcoming general elections.

In the presence of a number of APNU officials, Roopnarine himself made the disclosure at a press conference in their Regent and Oronoque Streets, Georgetown headquarters.
The leadership team headed by Brigadier (rtd) David Granger, includes Sydney Allicock, Carl Greenidge, Dr. George Norton, Rishi Thakur, Volda Lawrence, Annette Ferguson, Bishwaishwar (Cammie) Ramsaroop, Christopher Jones, Ganesh Mahipaul, Basil Williams, Amna Ally, Vaughn Phillips, Dawn Hastings, Africo Selman, Nicole Telford, Keith Scott, Deborah Backer, Anthony Vieira, Cheryl Sampson, James Bond, Dion Abrams, Tabitha Sarabo and Desmond Trotman.
According to Roopnarine, the party’s election agent would be Campaign Director Mr. Joseph Harmon.
