THE sordid sentiments expressed in the Kaieteur News (KN) of October 3, 2011 about the PPP/C rally are baseless but this is just what to be expected of this newspaper. While the Guyana Chronicle estimates the massive crowd to be over 20, 000 the Kaieteur News decimates it by over 50%. The gross inaccuracy by KN to create a spin on the mammoth and jubilant crowd at Albion is in poor taste.
The resounding response by the populace is undoubtedly a show of endorsement for the continuation of the PPP/C government. However, the article’s reference to one solitary man blaming “sugar” for his bald head is quite a pathetic way of proving a point. But it is common knowledge by now that KN has an anti-government agenda to pursue and is used to twisting information to serve their nefarious motives.
